(pronounced ray-kee) is the laying on of hands with the intent to
comfort and relieve pain. This may be felt in any one or all of a
person’s 4 bodies:
1. physical
2. mental
3. emotional
4. spiritual
Before
we start Reiki I like to sit down with the client and simply talk. This
simple exchange of energy allows us to intuitively seek out your goal
for the healing that follows. During a Reiki healing I place my hands
on the body (on or around the 7 main chakras) and the Ki (spiritually
guided universal life-force energy) automatically “flows” through me
and into the receiver.

At this point I physically feel a “whooshing”
sensation in the palms of my hands, when the whooshing subsides (and
only then) I move my hands to another place on the body and the healing
begins in that area. The energy heals whatever needs healing (if the
receiver will allow it to). At the very least the receiver will
experience an extreme sense of calm.
Through countless hours of practice I have come to personalize the way I give Reiki and I am guided to “do” different things for different people. I love to use chakra stones for a more emotional healing and genuine gemstones as a tool for me to help “see” more clearly on an intuitive level (this can only help to heal with a deeper intensity). I have fine-tuned my practice to a level that I am very confident and comfortable with.
At any given time one can look back and see that they are on a path (the same path we’ve always been on) so in a way I feel that I have been studying Reiki and how to be a healer on an intuitive level my whole life. Every experience I’ve ever had has led me to this point and I am so grateful to be able to help people in this capacity.
Recently though, I have been studying with Deb Brockmann (and my guides) after receiving level one and level two attunements. Deb is a Reiki Master and in my opinion the best mentor I could ever have.
